These terms are the agreement between you (the business that signs up) and BlabLabs, a division of RFPC Business Services, a trade name of RFPC Management LLC ("BlabLabs", "we"). By creating an account, starting a free month, or using a BlabLabs phone number, you agree to them.
BlabLabs gives your business a local phone number answered by an automated receptionist. The receptionist greets callers in your business name, asks the questions for your trade, takes a message, reads the caller's number back, and sends you an email after each call and a daily summary. During the business hours you set, calls that match your emergency list are transferred to the cell number you gave us; if you don't answer, the receptionist takes a message and flags it. On the Plus and Pro plans, each email also includes a link to the call recording, and an emergency call triggers a text message to your phone from our office number. Starter includes the written message and daily summary only. We text you; we never text your callers unless you have asked us to set that up.
The phone number is provisioned by BlabLabs and is yours to use while you are a customer. You may publish it, forward your existing line to it, or both. If you forward a phone to your BlabLabs number, emergency transfers cannot be sent to that same phone — the transfer would ring the receptionist again. In that case you must give us a different transfer number, or transfers are turned off for your account; we are not responsible for an emergency that could not be transferred because the transfer number was forwarded. If you cancel, we keep the number reserved for 30 days in case you come back; after that it may be released. We can help you port a number in or out where the carrier allows it.
Each plan includes a monthly minute allowance; minutes beyond it are billed at $0.25 per minute on your next invoice. We may suspend a line that is being used for abuse, fraud, or in a way that violates these terms, and we will tell you if we do.
We aim for the receptionist to answer every call, but telephone networks, carriers, and AI providers can fail. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and we are not liable for a missed call, a garbled message, a transfer that didn't connect, or a delayed email. If you run a business where a missed call is a life-safety matter, keep a human backup line.
To the fullest extent the law allows, BlabLabs' total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update the service or these terms; material changes will be emailed to the address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect. You can cancel at any time (see below). We may end service with 30 days' notice, or immediately for misuse.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Mercer County, West Virginia, unless the law requires otherwise.
Calls to a BlabLabs number are handled by an automated receptionist and are recorded and transcribed so that we can send you an accurate message and so you can listen back. The receptionist tells callers at the start of the call that it is an automated assistant and that the call may be recorded.
Recordings and transcripts are kept for 90 days by default so you can review them, then deleted. Structured call records (who called, when, the callback number, the message) are kept for as long as you're a customer so your call history stays available, and deleted 90 days after you cancel unless you ask us to remove them sooner.
To answer your calls in your name, send you messages and summaries, transfer emergencies, bill you, support you, and improve how the receptionist handles calls for your trade. We do not sell customer or caller information, and we do not use your callers' information to market to them.
We use a small number of providers to run the service: a voice-AI platform to answer and transcribe calls, a cloud database and email provider to store records and send email, and Stripe for payments. Each sees only what it needs to do its job. We'll disclose information if the law requires it, and we'll tell you if we can.
Callers can ask that their recording or message be deleted; forward the request to hello@blablabs.io with the date and number and we'll handle it within 10 business days. You, as our customer, can export or delete your call records at any time by asking.
Records are stored encrypted at rest with providers that hold SOC 2 or equivalent attestations. Access is limited to the people who run BlabLabs. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you promptly.
The service is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them.

The BlabLabs receptionist is an answering service. It takes messages and transfers emergencies. It does not:
Anything the receptionist says is a best effort at taking a message accurately. You make the decisions.
